Job Description:
This individual must be a self-motivated, detail oriented and energetic technician with a scientific background that will work closely with the production, application, and office teams. This full-time non-exempt position in the Quality Control department is based at our headquarter office located in Newark, Delaware.
Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biochemistry, or a similar science discipline.
- Familiar with HPLC instrumentation and different LC separation techniques.
- Experience in laboratory work or previous experience in quality control.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate experiment results through proper and detailed record keeping.
- Proficient computer skills to utilize Microsoft software and an ERP system for day-to-day quality operations.
- Good interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
- Perform quality control testing of HPLC columns.
- Assure timely completion of testing documentation.
- Generate quality control test results by following Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensure test methods are validated or verified as appropriate to the method.
- Maintain proper and detailed records.
- Perform order fulfillment as per the customer’s/supplier’s requirements.
- Assure timely completion of testing documentation.
- Preparation of samples, solutions and/or resins.
- Utilize and maintain the ERP system to optimize daily production functions.
- Performance of general housekeeping maintenance in the lab and cleanliness and tidiness in work areas.
- Observe safety precautions as outlined in safety manuals and training.
