Job Description:
The primary role of this position is assisting to plan and organize the purchasing, ordering, receiving, issuing, and inventory of materials/goods vital to the ongoing daily operations of our manufacturing facility. Follow through with the purchase from order placement to order fulfillment and ensure order arrives undamaged and on time. This individual needs to work closely with our Office, Accounting and Production team. This entry level position is in our headquarter office located in Newark, Delaware.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in accounting or related field, or bachelor degree with related work experience
- Competent in purchasing/inventory controls
- Proficient and consistent in following proper procedures
- Extreme attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality
- Excellent organization and prioritizing skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Good physical stamina with ability to lift or move items
- Ability to work professionally in a team environment
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Excel and the internet
- Ability to utilize an ERP system for day-to-day operations
Responsibilities:
- Fulfill corporate purchase requisitions: order processing and shipment tracking along with monitoring and communication follow-ups
- Accurately monitor and properly register inventory
- Properly purchase in a timely and efficient manner
- Perform acceptance process to production requirements; record all quality issues; report issues to vendors
- Includes physically moving received product for inspections and transferring to other locations
- Utilize and maintain the ERP system, and Microsoft Office to optimize daily functions
- File and generate reports as needed
- Communication: bring critical issues to the attention of the manager; consistently communicate progress and status of order to requestors; maintain consistent interaction with vendors
- Assist with other office/inventory support as needed
- Performance of general housekeeping maintenance and tidiness in work areas
- Observe safety precautions as outlined in safety manuals and training
