Monomix MC-HIC Resins, Hydrophobic Interaction
Chromatographic media, are based on hydrophilic
polymethacrylate beads with high physical and
chemical stability. The media are offered with a
choice of particle size is 30 and 60 μm, with a
narrow particle distribution and an average pore
size of 1000 Å. The resin surface of Monomix
MC-HIC is modified through proprietary processes
by Sepax Technology for most propriate
hydrophilicity and minimizes non-specific
adsorption to biological samples. Compared with
the other two HIC products, Generik MC-HIC and
Polar MC-HIC, Monomix MC-HIC has a bigger
pore size, more suitable for proteins with larger
molecular weights.
Structures
The resin surface of Monomix MC-HIC is covered with
a hydrophilic nanometer thin layer, bonded with
different functional groups through chemical
modification, such as Ether, Butyl and phenyl. Different
groups provide different hydrophobic properties, the
hydrophobicity ranges from weak to strong: Ether, Butyl
and Phenyl, as shown in Figure 1.
Compatible with an aqueous solution, a mixture of water and acetonitrile, acetone, or methanol. Typical buffers: phosphate, Tris, andacetate.
Liner Flow Rate
1800 cm/h
Storage
50%(v/v) Suspension in 20% of ethanol
* DBC Test method: 1 mg/mL lysozyme solution in 25 mM sodiumphosphatebuffer(pH 7) + 2 M (NH4)2SO4,Liner FlowRate 360 cm/h.
